Years ago, when I first started blogging, I wrote a blog post celebrating Yes Day at our house – a day when we said yes to (almost) everything the children wanted to do.
I’ll never forget the many negative comments I received upon sharing that concept.
And I also don’t regret it.
In fact, one of my favorite programs I’ve ever created is Be a Yes Mama eCourse. The program was designed to help more moms say yes — not only to their kids but to themselves. to messes, to having fun.
Because, really, isn’t that our goal here on this planet — to live fully?
It’s my goal.
In fact, I don’t regret a single yes I’ve ever said, including last week’s … “Yes, you may quit the track team.”
In this week’s podcast episode, which continues my 13 Parenting Lessons from 13 Years of Parenting, I’m talking about this idea of saying yes and how it’s become an important part of my own parenting toolbox.
