Weekend Gratitude List

Weekends don’t count unless you spend them doing something completely pointless. ~ Bill Watterson

I am still trying to find the time to write these posts. There’s so much about blogging that is wonderful and amazing. But, there so little time left to live and I guess that’s been catching up with me.

I am just so grateful to be able to do it all, even if it means a good solid absence is necessary in certain places in my life. I’ve still got my priorities and that  is all that matters, I suppose.

I am grateful for last week’s much needed hike in the woods where we all ran and jumped and played like a good family should every day.

I am so grateful for a necessary block of time to clean my house. I think better in a clean house even though I really do not like cleaning at all.

I am so grateful for the sunshine that is pouring through my windows.

What have I been reading to stay inspired? Lots of things.

  • Like this little piece on the Motherlode about just letting our kids be miserable rather than trying to make them happy. Awake.
  • And, I have a blog crush — which is very rare for me — on Bentlily. This poem about vomit is just awesome. AWESOME.
  • Finally, this list of things dads should know is just right on. Great thoughts for the men folk.
  • Oh, and I can’t forget to be thankful the great readers who let me know they liked my poem that I sent out in my newsletter this week. Someone requested to be able to pin it so I’ve created the image below! Pin away, dear friends. Everyone needs to be more kind to themselves. ~ Happy Weekend
