Is Imperfect Parenting Actually Good for Our Children? An interview with Amanda Morgan

Is Imperfect Parenting Actually Good for Our Children? An interview with Amanda Morgan

My conversation with Amanda Morgan, a child development educator and all-around amazing woman, was such a beautiful relief.

Finally, we can exhale.

Turns out, making mistakes as parents is actually GOOD for our kids and practicing imperfect parenting is something we shouldn’t feel bad about.

Amanda believes that perfect parenting is a myth and she’s trying to set the record straight.

I think it’s a little something called grit.

In Episode 15 of Amplify Your Life, Amanda and I get real and honest about parenting mistakes and what all that drama, conflict and challenge really does to our relationships.

And she gives her best advice on how to heal after a mistake in a way that will actually bring you closer together.

We also talk about resiliency in our children and how our if we handle our mistakes in a positive way, we can teach them to bounce back and even embrace what she calls taking calculated risks.

Toward the end we talk about self-care and Amanda shares how she does self-care at her house without feeling guilt.
