Project 52 | Embrace what matters

embrace what matters

Every week for this year, I am offering a mindful challenge designed to get you practicing living a more awakened  life. This is Week 32 of 52 of {Project 52} Stay Awake. You are welcome to join in anytime during this year-long mindful living photo project. Please upload your photos to our Project 52: Stay Awake Flickr group so we can see what an Awake life means for you.

And, join the community by using the Instagram/Twitter/Facebook hashtag #awakeproject13.

When the alarm goes off, soak it all in.

Another day to get it right, even if the alarm is a tiny tug from a little person long before the sun rises.

When the sink piles up with dirty dishes and the floor is layered with crumbs, soak it all in.

Another day to embrace what matters, even if what matters right now is playing hide-and-seek tag instead of mowing the grass.

When you’re feeling torn about saying yes or saying no, again, listen to the whispers of your heart.

Another day to make someone’s day, even if making someone’s day is yet another barefoot walk around the block walking the neighbor’s dog.

When you are stuck in that place between anger and disappointment, understand that your emotions are real.

Another day to model letting go, even if it means choosing being kind over being right.

When you’re feeling tired like you aren’t sure you can make it through, take a really deep breath and repeat this:

Another day to get it right.

Another day to make someone’s day.

Another day to model letting go.

Another day to embrace what matters.

Beryl 4Photo Tip from Beryl — This week hug your loved ones close, curl up with that favorite book, enjoy a quiet moment with your favorite morning latte. And snap a photo of it to remind yourself if how blissful that moment was.

P.S. Beryl’s upcoming photography self-care class Radiate has a FREE preview that begins this week. Learn more here!
